Free Online Naam Jap Counter
Tap to count any mantra — Ram Naam, Radha Naam, Om Namah Shivaya — with a 108-bead digital mala and goals up to 1 crore. Runs in your browser. Your count auto-saves after every tap.
About this online japa counter
This is a free, browser-based naam jap counter — also called a japa counter or digital mala. It is made for devotees who want a simple, distraction-free way to track their chants on any laptop or phone, without installing anything. No login. No ads. Your count stays on your device.
Tap the big orange button once for every mantra you chant. The counter shows your current mala (out of 108), your total count, and how far you have come toward your target. When your number reaches 108, the app marks one completed mala. When you hit your goal, you'll feel a longer haptic buzz on mobile.
You can count Radhe Radhe, Ram Ram, Hare Krishna, Om Namah Shivaya, or type in any mantra of your own. Targets can be set to 108, 1,080, 1 lakh, or 1 crore naam jap for long-running sankalps.

Frequently asked questions
How do I use this online japa counter?
Pick a mantra (Radhe Radhe, Ram Ram, Om Namah Shivaya, or type your own), choose a target (1 mala of 108, 1 lakh, or up to 1 crore), and tap the big orange button every time you chant. Your count auto-saves in this browser, so you can close the tab and come back later.
Is this naam jap counter really free? Do I need to sign up?
Yes, it is 100% free. No sign-up, no email, no ads. Everything runs in your browser. Your count stays on your device; we don't store it on any server.
Does my count save if I close the browser?
Yes — the count is saved in your browser's local storage. When you come back to this page on the same device and browser, your mantra, target, and count will still be there. If you clear browser data or use a different device, the count will reset.
Can I track 1 crore naam jap?
Yes. Select '1 crore (10,000,000)' as your target from the dropdown. The progress bar and remaining-count display will update. For long-running sankalps like 1 crore, we recommend using the NaamJaap Android app instead because it syncs totals across devices and works fully offline.
Why do I hear no sound?
The online counter uses gentle haptic feedback (vibration) on supported phones instead of sound, so you can chant in silence. If your phone supports vibration and the tab is active, you will feel a short buzz at each tap and a longer one when you complete a mala of 108.
Online counter vs. the NaamJaap app — what's the difference?
The online counter is great for a quick session at your desk or on a phone browser. The NaamJaap Android app adds: offline-first operation, lifetime totals across sessions, daily streaks, Panchang & Gita audiobooks, custom mantras with sound, and a global leaderboard. Both are free.
