How to Use the NaamJaap App: A Simple Guide
October 21, 2025
Welcome to NaamJaap! We designed the app to be simple, calm, and easy to use, so you can focus on your spiritual practice without any distractions. Here’s a quick guide to get you started in just a few taps.
Step 1: Download and Open the App
First, download the NaamJaap app from the Google Play Store. Once it's installed, just tap the icon to open it. You'll see a clean, simple signup screen ready for you. Sign-up using google and you're all set.
Step 2: Start Your Jaap
To count your chants, simply tap on the circle. Each tap adds one to your count. You'll feel a gentle vibration (haptic feedback) with each tap, which helps you keep a rhythm without looking at the screen.
The app automatically tracks your malas. Once you reach 108 chants, the Mala counter will increase by one, and your chant count will reset to continue the next mala.
Step 3: Customize Your Mantra (Optional)
The app starts with "Ram" as the default mantra. If you wish to chant a different name, you can easily change it. Tap on the settings or mantra text to enter your own, like "Radhe Krishna," "Vitthal," or any name that resonates with you.
Step 4: Just Close the App When You're Done
One of the best features is that you never have to worry about saving. Your progress is automatically saved with every single tap. Whether you get a phone call, switch to another app, or just close it, your count will be exactly where you left it when you return.
That’s it! The app is designed to be a quiet companion for your sadhana. We hope it brings peace and focus to your daily practice.
