Privacy Policy for NaamJaap
1. Overview
Welcome to Naam Jaap ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with our Naam Jaap mobile application (the "App").
Our App is designed to be a simple and sacred tool for your spiritual practice. Your trust is paramount to us, and therefore, we have designed the App with your privacy as a top priority.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We want to be crystal clear: The Naam Jaap app collects no Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
This means we do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
- Your name, email address, or phone number.
- Your location data.
- Your device's unique identifiers (like Device ID or Advertising ID).
- Your contacts, photos, or other files on your device.
- Any information that could be used to personally identify you.
3. Information We Collect (Non-Personal Data)
The only data the App handles is directly related to its core function. This data is created by you and for you.
Jaap and Mala Count: The App stores the number of Jaaps you have chanted and the total number of Malas you have completed.
Where is this information stored? This count data is stored exclusively on the local storage of your own device. It is never sent to our servers or to any third party. You have full control over this data.
4. How We Use Your Information
The non-personal count data is used solely for the following purposes:
- To provide the core functionality of the App: counting and tracking your Jaap and Mala totals.
- To save your progress so you can continue your practice at any time without losing your count.
5. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not share your data with any third parties because we do not collect any personal data to begin with. The App is self-contained and does not communicate your usage data externally.
The App operates offline. An internet connection is not required for its core functionality.
6. User Control and Data Deletion
You are in complete control of your data. You can delete your Jaap and Mala count data at any time by:
- Clearing the application's data and cache in your device's settings.
- Uninstalling the App from your device.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is designed for all age groups. Since we do not collect any Personally Identifiable Information, we do not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13. The App is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
8. Security
We have taken appropriate measures to ensure the integrity of the App. As all data is stored locally on your device, its security is primarily handled by the security features of your mobile operating system (Android).

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
